The ALT-009 is ALTAIRES™ at its most rugged — a full leather and suede mid-hiker built for real structure and support without the weight you'd expect from a boot this capable. A traditional hook-lace system laces up through the collar for a precise, locked-down fit, while the reinforced ankle collar and structured heel counter deliver stability on technical terrain.
This is a style in the line built for full waterproof protection: a PLUMA waterproof construction keeps feet completely dry through stream crossings, snowmelt, and sustained wet conditions — not just splashes. Underfoot, DYNALOFT cushioning keeps the ride surprisingly light for a boot of this structure, and the high-traction rubber outsole with aggressive tread holds its line on loose rock, mud, and uneven ground. A pull-tab heel loop makes entry easy despite the supportive fit.
